Ellis has achieved international acclaim with

glimpse into the plight of children in developing countries.
An author and human rights activist, Ellis’ latest work,
Off to War: Voices of Soldiers’ Children, is
an account of the experiences described by children whose
parents are soldiers fighting in Afghanistan and Iraq.
Ellis’ multi-award winning work has been published in
seventeen languages and she has donated more than half
a million dollars in royalties to Street Kids International
and to Women for Women. Ellis lives in Simcoe, Ontario.
