It takes a community to present a Festival!

Every October, WordFest brings 70+ writers together with 14,000 readers for 6 days of dynamic literary programming and youth education. This excitement is extended throughout the year through special events and outreach initiatives.

Through WordFest, First Calgary Financial Book Rapport promotes the love of reading and writing to children, teens and young adult. Artistic and cultural events such as lectures, meetings, conversations, debates and workshops are organized for the pleasure of young readers.

This would not be possible without the support of dedicated sponsors, individuals and public and private sector funders.

By sharing the power of words with readers of all ages and backgrounds, WordFest directly contributes to the vitality of Calgary, Banff and the Bow Valley.
